A Little Aloud for Children takes to the Liverpool Bandstand

This Friday 10th August, at 12pm,  The Reader Organisation’s Project Workers will be reading stories and poems from A Little, Aloud for Children at the Summer of Love Liverpool Bandstand in Williamson Square.

The pop-up urban performance venue has been specially constructed as a free showcase for Liverpool’s artistic talent in the very centre of the city, as part of the Summer of Love campaign to celebrate live culture. You can read the full line-up here. As  A Little Aloud, for Children is a book full of stories and poems specially chosen for sharing and reading aloud, we thought the bandstand would be a great place to do just that! We’ll also be raising money for our Apprenticeship for Life campaign.

If you’re in Liverpool tomorrow, why not come along? The sun will be shining, there’s plenty of seating, and our 45 minutes slot will give you a tantalizing taster of the brilliant stories and poems that feature in the book. Perfect lunchtime entertainment for adults and children alike!

If you can’t make it, don’t forget that you can find out about all the latest A Little, Aloud for Children news and events, and tell us who you’ve been reading it with, on the special A Little, Aloud for Children blog.
